For the past six years, I haven’t stepped on a stage to perform live. But even in that season, I never stopped creating. I kept writing. I kept recording. In fact, I probably wrote and released more music during that time than ever before.

Then this year, I felt God speaking to my heart: it was time to get back out there. Time to tour again. Around that same time, I started working on this rock record with my friend Dave Thulin.

Dave and I had already written a bunch of songs together for TV and film, and one day he asked me, “When are you going to make more rock songs?” He told me he’d be all in to produce one. I still remember calling him and saying, “Let’s do this. Why don’t we book a week and see what happens?”

That first week was incredible. We ended up writing four songs: Catch Me If You Can, Walking on Water, Kiss of an Enemy, and One Prayer Away.

By then, we both knew something special was happening. What started as one week turned into a bigger vision, and we decided to go all in and make a full album together. I’ve always believed that if your dream doesn’t require a team, you’re not dreaming big enough. So we brought in some amazing friends in Nashville to help bring this project to life.

At this point in my life, I didn’t want to make another song or album just for the sake of making one. I wanted these songs to matter. I wanted them to glorify God, to move people, and to spark real conversations about Jesus.

That’s why this album had to be more than just another record.

It had to be monumental.
